Nearly ready for firing
After photo of 1st firing
Float course 30 November 2014 before shot of 1st firing
Final pieces 23rd Nov
Look at these lovely pieces, I could have taken more photo’s, there was so much choice! Jane, your ferny leaf in with the mica looks amazing in the flesh, slighlty less amazing in the picture, despite being photoshopped to death! Hope to see you all again!
Float course before shot of 1st firing from 3 of our students (more to come)
Final pieces
These are gorgoeous pieces, not very flatteringly photographed as I did them at night, sorry about that! But they are lovely and clean and glossy. Have a look at Bowl 3, the orange one, it’s really interesting because the yellow frit sometimes crazes and it has this time, very attratice 🙂
A great pleasure to work with you all and I hope you enjoy opening the parcel when it arrives in a day or so. Nicky and Gary have theirs already as they collected!
Float course 26th October first firing
29th September Bryony’s group
These turned out wonderfully with lots of shiny glass so looks like all that cleaning really payed off. What I particularly like about these pieces is the variety – from landscapes and ladybirds right through to loose abstraction. I really hope you like these pieces as much as I do, photographing them was a complete pleasure. At present we are missing your photos from the first firing on the blog, the excitement of firing them in a different kiln meant we were a little disorganised as to where the before and after shots are.
It was great to see you take your first pieces home and hopefully they are all okay despite being fired hard so we could get to see them quickly. We were really pleased with how much cooler the studio was in the afternoon, hopefully adding to your comfort although obviously not much beats the Jaffa cakes. Anyway enough waffle from me – here they are:
Final pieces from Jane’s party
Here they are, very nice pieces. I just picked six at random so I’ve no idea who made the ones pictured – hope thats ok! Some of you opted for the smaller pieces and I think this lot really shows how strong they can look – fabulous! Lovely to meet you all 😉
