Last finished pieces of the year!

These are lovely, well done to you all!

Just to remind you that every student that has visited us this year has at least one photo of their work on this blog (there are lots more pages as well as this one). It has been an absolute pleasure to work with you all and we will be back with more courses in the new year.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year, warmest wishes, Sue and Vince

And here they are!

As you can see there are some really beautiful pieces. The good news is also that your all of your second 3 inch squares are fab too, although I haven’t photographed them.

Please feel very free to leave comments on your own work and that of others’. Also we would love to see you again on a course and remember we do gift vouchers just in case anyone is stuck for a present for you.

We are currently in the process of making a piece of community art which we will put up on this blog shortly. The work is being made in a beeswax medium rather than glass. Beeswax is actually translucent when used in this way and is a very tactile material. If you have time to pop back here and look in 2 weeks time, and even better leave some feedback, I would be really grateful as this work is part of my MA around audience reactions to my work. Thank you again for an enjoyable day on Saturday.

The final pieces

These were a total joy to edit. I love that there are pieces with colour, some with metals (one of my personal favourite materials), representational and abstract work, all within one group. This is the most diverse work I have seen come from a course and I think you will all be a huge inspiration to future and prospective students. We would live to see you again – we run intermediate courses and jewellery making with coloured glass. Thank you for such a creative and fun day.

Lyn, thank you for your glowing comments, would you post them on our facebook wall if you get a chance? Also thank you to Mark for your kind posting too.

Worth the wait

I don’t know what to say – your work keeps on getting better and better. These are stunning

Alison, your bowl is cooking as I type and we think it will be great

I’ve run out of complimentary words and the photos speak for themselves. We are glad you had a good evening and we hope we will see you soon.
